These are the commands the Lord your God directed me to teach you to observe in the land that you are to possess, so that you, your children and their children after them may fear the Lord your God… so that you may enjoy long life. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Deuteronomy 6:1-2, 7
The most valuable legacy we can pass to our children, grandchildren, is a spiritual legacy – the legacy of faith in Christ.
How do we do that?
1) Live a life of faith in front of your children. Let them see that your faith is real and authentic.
2) Teach them God’s word.
3) Share testimonies and stories of God’s wonders and miracles.
4) Let them see your unshakable faith in times of trouble, so they’ll know that the truth of God’s word is the bedrock of your faith.
Fret not yourself because of evildoers; be not envious of wrongdoers! For they will soon fade like the grass and wither like the green herb. Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.
1 John 1:7 NLT 7 But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.
Every day in my prayers, I apply the blood of Jesus to my family and to our home.
